Real Broker, LLC

Hi, I'm Tera! My partner and I spent years paying sky-high San Diego rent while our landlord traveled the world. Then we found Peoria, fell head over heels, and made an offer on day four. Now I help renters trade rent checks for house keys. Your landlord can fund their own vacation.

I'll be honest: not long ago I thought owning a home just wasn't in the cards for us. We were paying $3,000 a month for a modest place in San Diego, and our landlord was always off on another trip overseas. She made sure to tell us about every trip. The down payment on a $750K house? Not happening.

Then I stumbled onto an old-house Facebook page and saw a gorgeous converted church in Peoria for $200K. I was shocked. I started scrolling listings, realized we could actually do this, and booked flights. Four days into our visit, we made an offer.

Confession: I was nervous. I've got tattoos and, at the time, neon yellow hair, and I figured a Midwest town might not be thrilled about me. I was so wrong. Our neighbors have brought us so much food, mowed our lawn and even shoveled our snow. Back in California, our neighbors just filed HOA complaints.

The weather, though? The first negative windchill cut me to my core. I'll give you the real story on winters here, plus all the good stuff: the historic riverfront, museums and theaters, minor league baseball and hockey, and old houses with more character than anything I saw out west.

We're road-trippers at heart, too. Lucy has ridden shotgun in our RV through red rock canyons out west, and these days she's happiest exploring the trails and riverbanks around Peoria with me.

How I work

  • I'm on your side and never pushy. You set the pace.
  • Straight talk about everything: prices, old-house quirks, and yes, the winters.
  • Moving from out of state? I'll be your eyes here with video walkthroughs and honest answers.
  • Vintage homes are my favorite: houses with character that are ready for your personal makeover.

I'm here for the renters who've been left behind by sky-high rents. If that's you, let's talk. I'll look out for you like a friend would.
